Visual Software Analytics
The software development life cycle involves the activities of project management, requirement analysis and specification, architectural and system design (e.g. product line architectures), coding, testing, quality assurance, maintenace, software analysis, performing tuning, and evolution. All of these activities can be assisted and improved through various aspects of Software Visualization, such as visual modeling, visual database query, execution visualization, data visualization, etc.
In the area of visual software analysis, we currently focus on the development of visualization tools for software metrics as well as on the combination of static software analyses with interactive visualization techniques. Here, we also pay special attention to human-centered aspects, such as perception and alternative representations.
