Publication Metadata Visualization

The metadata associated with scientific publications provides a rich set of opportunities for analysis and representation of the research activities. However, such metadata also presents the challenges of obtaining an overview of the complete data set, detecting missing or outdated information, and finding patterns and relationships between seemingly unrelated entities. The methods of information visualization can be used to address these challenges and provide an interactive multi-purpose tool for researchers, decision makers, and the general public. In this project, we aim to implement such an approach with the data from our own university in mind.

This project is performed in cooperation with the university library and the administration of Linnaeus University.
