Database Theory (1DV013)

Assessment Assignments and oral examinations. Oral examinations will take place in week 47.
Prerequisites 60 higher education credits in Computer Science including a course in Programming and Data Structures as well as good programming experiences.

Topic Database Theory



This course is intended to give students a solid background in database systems and theory, with a focus on relational database management systems. Topics include general information on database systems, data modeling (E/R model, relational data model), database design theory, data definition and manipulation languages (SQL), and database programming interfaces. In addition to these traditional topics, we cover some advanced topics, such as visual data mining (see above images).
