This course offers insight into a bit more advanced theoretical and practical aspects of computer graphics. We provide a brief introduction of shader programming and discuss techniques and algorithms used in 3D-graphics, such as texture mapping, global illumination (ray tracing, radiosity) and computer animation. In addition, various 3D-representations beyond the boundary representation (so-called B-Rep) are introduced.
The course contents are exercised and deepened in context of theoretical and practical lab assignments by using OpenGL.
