Database Theory (1DV013)

Important Information Because of the reduced teaching load of Prof. Kerren in this semester, he only provides the lectures incl. slides for this course. For all other questions with respect to introduction, assignments, exams, etc., interested students have to contact Kostiantyn Kucher instead.
Prerequisites 60 higher education credits in Computer Science including a course in Programming and Data Structures as well as good programming experiences.

Topic Database Theory



This course is intended to give students a solid background in database systems and theory, with a focus on relational database management systems. Topics include general information on database systems, data modeling (E/R model, relational data model), database design theory, data definition and manipulation languages (SQL), and database programming interfaces.
